100% Zinfandel from a neighbor’s organically farmed vineyard here in El Dorado County. Layered and complex aromas of red licorice, white pepper and chocolate covered raisins open up to flavors of fresh plum and tobacco leaf with a bright cranberry finish. 100% Cabernet Franc. Due to extremely low yields in this vineyard block, we typically blend this wine with our Cabernet Sauvignon. However, in the 2017 vintage we were able to make our second 100% Cabernet Franc we've ever produced. It is a beautiful, Estate grown, extremely limited production wine reminiscent of Cabernet Francs that hail from the Loire Valley of France. Aromas of raspberry, bramble and a hint of bell pepper precede smooth flavors of velvety black cherry, ripe strawberry and minerals. The balanced acidity and tannins lead to a long, memorable finish. Pair with Grilled Artichokes with Tarragon Easy Aioli, Sheep’s Milk Cheese-stuffed Blistered Peppers or Rosemary Lamb Skewers. Aged 12 months in 100% French oak. Drink now to 2027+.
100% Primitivo. Aromas of spiced red berries, dried oregano and a hint of vanilla precede juicy blackberry flavors on the mid-palate. The spicy potpourri finish is both textured and lingering. 34% Grenache, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Syrah, this beautiful Estate grown blend is reminiscent of wines that hail from the Provence region of France. Cherry and dried rose petal aromas open up to mid-palate flavors of blackberry and currant with a long, lingering finish.
